Summary

This project in particular is a continuation of my brand in the form of a poster series. For my personal brand and this project specifically I pulled from the tradition of craftsmanship within my family. The inspiration I had was readily abundant and seemingly everywhere growing up. I often looked at the work of my ancestors as being unperceivable in terms of accomplishing such feats for myself. I only wish to honor them with my skillset moving forward.

The triptych posters featured all stood as an individual poster dedicated to one of my family members. I used an item or instrument from one of their perspective trades to accompany a single word fitting their personality or behavior.

My Grandad and me. The Bonneville Salt Flats was an annual tradition for us, it was beyond rained out that year.

Glen was an engraver by trade. From what I can gather from his personal belongings, he was an incredibly detail oriented and meticulous in his work. Even though we only have a fragment of his work within our family, its a lot.

Emily had an affinity for the arts and dominated the various trades that existed in her time. Jewelry, silversmithing, painting, oils, and pastels are the mediums I can keep track of.

My grandfather knew exactly what he wanted to do from the time he was 12 years old. He saw a milling machine and his career, passion, and life came to fruition from that point on. His ability to create anything he can imagine has never ceased to bewilder me.
